Blue Devils Mercy Rule Ellsworth Both Games, 11-2 and 8-1

The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team (7-7) took down Ellsworth Community College (5-9) 11-2 and 8-1 Mar. 6 in Kansas City, Kan.

In the first game, Sydney Becker led the charge for the team, setting the tone early with a solid performance at the plate. Becker reached base twice, scoring two runs and driving in one RBI. McKenna Lester also made significant contributions, despite not registering a hit, scoring two runs and driving in one RBI. Her ability to get on base and create scoring opportunities was instrumental in the team's offensive output. Liberty Hawks provided a key offensive spark, driving in two RBIs with a hit while Adrianna Smith contributed one RBI with a hit of her own. Savannah Short, Annika Smith, Kloey Dawes and Gabrielle King each added one RBI to the team's total, showcasing the depth of the lineup. On the defensive side, Alyssa Droge delivered a solid performance in the pitching circle, holding Moberly to just four hits and two runs in her 4.1 innings of action. Hanna Acree pitched the other two innings and didn't let up a single hit or run while tallying one strikeout.

In game two, Sydney Becker led the offensive charge, making her presence felt with three RBIs, including a key hit that drove in a run. Liberty Hawks also played a pivotal role in the team's offensive output, delivering a standout performance with three hits and two RBIs. Her ability to make consistent contact and drive in runs proved invaluable for her team's success. Short contributed to the scoring effort with two RBIs, while Jaycee Long, Dawes and Sara Portela each added one RBI to the team's total. King also had a two-hit game and scored one run for the Blue Devils.
