The Lady Red Devils defeated Ottawa University JV 8-3 on Wednesday.

The Lady Red Devils captured the lead in the first inning. Morgan Wayman singled on a 0-1 count in the first inning, scoring one run.The Lady Red Devils took the lead for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third there was an error, scoring one run, Delaney Umholtz singled off of Jordyn Sage, driving in two runs, and Winter Henry laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run.

Courtney Gard earned the win for The Lady Red Devils. She went seven innings, surrendering three runs, nine hits, and striking out five. Sage took the loss for Ottawa University JV. She threw two innings, allowing six runs, four hits, and striking out one.

The Lady Red Devils collected eight hits. Umholtz and Julia Keating each collected multiple hits for The Lady Red Devils. Keating and Umholtz each collected two hits to lead The Lady Red Devils. The Lady Red Devils didn't commit a single error in the field. Henry had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.

Ottawa University JV had nine hits in the game. Sydney Lehr and Jayce Daniels each collected multiple hits for Ottawa University JV. Daniels went 2-for-3 at the plate as she led the team with two runs batted in.
