Scotties Continue Undefeated Season with 102-51 Victory over the Larks

Box Score An on the road Region game against the Hesston Larks (10-10) was a smooth contest for the undefeated Scotties as they took the contest with a 102-51 victory to claim their 23rd win.

Sophomores Niccolly Ramalho and Mariane De Caravalho led the team in scoring with 15 and 23 each, totaling seven of the teams twelve three pointers together. Ramalho, named NJCAA Player of the Week and KJCCC Player of the week earlier in the day, proved her worth yet again also contributing nine steals, six assists, and four rebounds in the game. Caravalho also had eight rebounds, six assists, and four blocked shots.

Stefania Chiziane was a force off the bench for the Scotties with 14 points alongside forward Sydney Brinlee who also had double-digit points with 14 and five rebounds.

Blaize Burgess added to her made three's leading the All-Time record book at Highland with a new total of 129. Kamryn Lemon and Berniezha Tidwell each came off the bench to help the Scotties victory; Tidwell with five assists and seven points, and Lemon with five steals, nine points, four rebounds, and three assists.

The Highland defense forced 36 turnovers on the Larks resulting in 48 of the 102 points as points off turnovers. The team shot 53% in field goals and the Scottie bench out scored the Larks bench 38-15.

Undefeated in overall play and in the conference (23-0, 2-0), the Scotties will travel to Kansas City, Kansas to take on the Kansas City Kansas Community College Blue Devils (18-5, 1-1) on Saturday, February 4th with a 2:00PM tip-off.
