Slow Start Dooms Red Ravens Men's Basketball to Loss vs the Seward Saints 82-89

The Red Raven Men's Basketball team traveled to Liberal Kansas to play the Seward Saints.  A slow start to the game for the Red Ravens ended up costing them as they lost the game 82-89.

After the loss, the Red Raven's overall record now stands at 8-3 including 4-3 in KJCCC conference play.

The biggest difference in the game was the slow start for the Red Ravens.  After the first 12:50 of play in the first half Coffeyville was trailing 11-36 to the Saints.  The Red Ravens battled back over the last seven minutes of the half to go into halftime only down 30-38.  

The second half was back and forth and the Red Ravens actually outscored the Saints in the second half 52-51, however the deficit from the first half was to big and the Red Ravens got the loss, 82-89.

Top performers for the Red Ravens included freshmen forward Cedric Roland (19 pts), sophomore forward Tedrick Wolfe (18 pts), freshmen guard Malik Keith (14 pts), and sophomore forward Jordan Taylor (11 pts).

The Red Ravens will return to action on Wednesday, December 7th with a road game to Chanute Kansas to take on the Neosho County Panthers.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
