Blue Devils Run Past State Fair

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – A 10-run first inning was all the KCKCC baseball team needed to get past State Fair on Tuesday, as they defeated the Roadrunners 12-5 at home.

The Blue Devils are now 25-18 overall on the season.

After the aforementioned big first inning, the Blue Devils added two more runs in the third frame. State Fair added two runs on a home run in the fifth, before tacking on a pair in the sixth and one in the eighth inning. KCKCC's lead was insurmountable, and the team shut down State Fair in the ninth to seal the win.

Jackson Mervosh led the team with three RBI and Hector Candelas added two doubles. Dalton Smith earned the win on the mound.

KCKCC returns to action on Thursday on the road against Pratt.
