Blue Devils Make it Two In a Row With Win Over Metropolitan, 85-70

The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team (7-6) took down the Metropolitan Wolves (3-9) 85-70 Tuesday night at Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley. The Blue Devils made 23 free throws for the game, second most of the season. The only time they have made more free throws in a single game was against MCC on Nov. 10, when they made 25.

Reggie Morris went 5-9 from behind the arc and ended the night with 17 points, two rebounds and a block. Cortez Howlett, once again, came off the bench and provided 14 points and five assists. BJ Stewart had a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, his second of the season. Caleb Jones tallied 11 points and seven rebounds after being named the Week 5 KJCCC DII Player of the Week.

For the game, the Blue Devils shot 45 percent from the field (27-60), 40 percent from three-point range (8-20) and 76.7 percent from the free-throw line (23-30).

The next game for the Blue Devils is against the Southeast Bobcats at 3 p.m. Dec. 9 at Southeast Community College.
