Lady Blue Devils Shatter MidAmerica Nazarene JV, 79-52

The Kansas City Kansas Community College women's basketball team (8-5) took down the MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneers JV (1-7) 79-52 Monday night at MidAmerica Nazarene University. Victoria Jones put together her first double double of the season with 17 points and 10 assists. She also brought down the second highest number in rebounds with seven.

Jada Johnson led the Blue Devils with 20 points, eight rebounds, four steals, three assists and three blocks. Symiah Bradley ended the night with 16 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block. Bennett Peck shot 3-3 from behind the arc and tallied nine points along with one rebound. Alexis Dukes came off the bench and brought down four rebounds and had seven points.

For the game, the Blue Devils shot 51.7 percent from the field (30-58), 42.1 percent from three-point range (819) and 47.8 percent from the free-throw line (11-23). The Blue Devils had 14 offensive rebounds and 21 defensive rebounds while only turning the ball over eight times.

The next game for the Lady Blue Devils is against the North Platte Knights at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15 at North Platte Community College.
