COLBY, Kan. - The Colby Community College Trojans took it to the varsity reserve team from Southwestern College. Tonight, the shots found the mark and the Trojans poured in 96 points and defeated the Mountainbuilders 96-41. The Trojans made eleven three-point shots on 47% shooting opening the game up and allowing for a comfortable night in the gym.  
 
Once again the team defense was solid and forced turnovers which resulted in fast break points.  With all players receiving quality minutes the substitution pattern was a revolving door with players shuffling in and out constantly.  
 
"It was great to see the ball go in the basket after three games of many in-and-out shots.  When the shots fall, other parts of the game just seem to go better.  Being able to work on different things in a game setting is huge and we improving each day.  We now shift focus and get ready for Jayhawk conference play. " stated Coach Spence.
 
The Trojans will start conference play on Saturday as they head to Garden City to take on the Broncbusters at 2 p.m. CT.
