Blue Devils Lose to North Arkansas, 102-85

The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team (5-5) fell to the North Arkansas Pioneers (11-2) 102-85 Tuesday night in Harrison, Ark. Freshman forward, O'shawn Jones-Winslow recorded a career-high 17 points along with six rebounds and two assists.

Jones-Winslow shot an impressive 8-11 from the field and converted on his one free throw attempt for the game. Two Blue Devil guards, Reggie Morris and Caleb Jones, tallied 13 points each, shooting a combined 8-20 from the field. Mikequese Taylor shot 6-9 from the field and ended the night with 12 points and three rebounds. Pierce Ross came off the bench and tallied 10 points while shooting 4-9 on the night.

The Pioneers were led by Mat Jones who had 25 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. James Parlow Jr. also joined in with 16 points and six rebounds while Kardell Sims Jr. finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Sims Jr. led the team in rebounds, 10 of which were offensive boards.

For the game, the Blue Devils shot 50.7 percent from the field (34-57), 23.1 percent from three-point range (6-26) and 55 percent from the free-throw line (11-20). The Pioneers shot 48.6 percent from the field (34-70), 42.9 percent from three-point range (9-21) and 75.8 percent from the free-throw line (25-33). The Blue Devils also outscored the Pirates in the paint 34 to 22.

The next game for the Blue Devils is against the John Wood Blazers at 3 p.m. Dec. 1 at Rockhurst University.
