Box Score Jameka Dowell scored 19 points on the way to a 73-51 victory over the KCK Blue Devils Saturday afternoon in Kansas City.
 
It was a high scoring first quarter for both teams as Highland jumped out to an early 28-20 lead. A more balanced 15-14 second quarter saw the Scotties take a 43-34 lead into the half.
 
The Scotties held the Blue Devils to just four points in the final quarter and strolled to their 23^rd win of the year, 73-51.
 
Jameka Dowell led all scorers with 19 points shooting 9-10 from the free-throw line. Szonja Vukov scored 14 points, seven rebounds and had four blocks. Niccolly Ramalho had a big afternoon scoring 14 points, grabbing five rebounds and dishing out four assists. Mariane Carvalho had seven points and 10 rebounds.
 
Highland forced the Blue Devils into 20 turnovers and out rebounded them 40-35. After shooting 5-8 from three in the first half, Highland held KCK to shooting 0-7 from behind the arc in the second half.
 
Highland is now 23-3 overall and 7-2 in Region VI play. They will take on Southeast Nebraska CC on Monday night at 5:30pm in Ben Allen Field House.
