The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team (15-11) took down Labette Community College (8-16) 4-3 and 2-0 Mar. 28 at the KCKCC softball field. Blue Devil pitchers, Alyssa Droge and Hanna Acree, only gave up a combined six hits in both games against the Cardinals.

In the first game, Liberty Hawks had three at-bats, managing one double and driving in a run, leaving two runners on base. Adrianna Smith, with three at-bats, also had a double. Kylie Vandervoort led the Blue Devils in her two at-bats, scoring one run and driving in one with two hits, leaving no runners on base. Annika Smith recorded an RBI, run and got walked once.

Alyssa Droge had an impressive outing giving up just four hits with seven strikeouts.

For the second game, it was a quiet game for both teams, but the Blue Devils stayed persistent and came out with the win. Savannah Short had two at-bats and recorded one hit and one RBI. Jaycee Long was the other Blue Devil to record a hit whole going one for three at the plate. Both Adrianna Smith and Annika Smith also got walked two times.

Hanna Acree went the distance and gave up just two Cardinal hits while tallying seven strikeouts.
