Ross Carries Blue Devils to Victory Over Metropolitan, 100-86

The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team (3-1) took down the Metropolitan Wolves (1-3) 100-86 Nov. 10 at Hy-Vee Arena. Pierce Ross came off the bench and recorded a double-double, scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds.

KCKCC capitalized from the free throw line shooting 86.2 percent (25-29) compared to Metropolitan shooting only 55.2 percent (16-29) from the line. The Blue Devils were only down to the Wolves once during the game, 8-5 at the 15:57 mark in the first half. After that, they led by as much as 23 points and went into halftime with a 47-28 lead.

Metropolitan was offensively led by Clarence Johnson (19 points), Shawndale Ross (17 points) and Jeremy Moore (17 points). The Wolves had a better field goal percentage from the field (51.6 percent) compared to the Blue Devils (37.6 percent). The Wolves converted 33-64 from the field compared to the Blue Devils 32-85.
