Men's Soccer Prevails 1-0 Over Crowder College

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – It was a slow start for both teams on Thursday night, but the KCKCC men's soccer team capitalized in the second half with a 1-0 win over Crowder College.

A goal from Rory Stenhouse in the 61st minute helped the Blue Devils escape with a shutout. David Rivera took a corner kick for the team and sent the ball into the box, where Stenhouse used his height to his advantage and sailed over the defender to head the ball into the net.

Crowder had several opportunities to answer with a goal of their own, but KCKCC's defense stifled Crowder to hold them scoreless.

KCKCC held Crowder to only five total shots in the match, while taking a strike at the net 11 total times.

Noah Conover led the team with three shots – two on goal, while Zxyon Hendricks added two shots.

KCKCC will play an exhibition game against Rockhurst on Monday before hitting the road for a conference matchup against Seward on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
