Women's Soccer Team Drops To Rose State

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. — Both Allen Community College soccer teams struggled to find the back of the net during their season-opening trip to Oklahoma.

The women lost 3-0 to Rose State College and couldn't muster much offense with only one shot at the goal the entire game. Brynn Suddeth provided that attempt, but Rose State keeper Revella Fischer was able to prevent the score.

Emily Clark got the start in goal for the Red Devils and allowed 3 of 11 Rose State attempts at goal.

The game was also the season opener for Rose State.

"We played a little short-handed with two starters being out due to injuries," coach Jeremy McGinnis said. "We missed some early opportunities that could have changed the game in our favor."

McGinnis knows his team must improve before its home opener against Metropolitan Community College-Blue River on Friday at 2 p.m.

"We're looking forward to getting back on the right side of things then," McGinnis said.
