Blue Devils Move onto Semifinals with Victory Over Allen, 106-55

The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team (22-9, 12-2) squashed Allen Community College (10-21, 2-12), 106-55 Mar. 4 at MCC-Penn Valley. The Blue Devils move on as the top seed and will play in the semifinal round at 3 p.m. Friday against No. 4 Fort Scott at Johnson County Community College.

BJ Stewart led the charge for KCKCC, delivering an outstanding performance with 22 points and nine rebounds in 22 minutes on the court. Reginald Morris also made a significant impact, contributing 21 points, including an impressive 7-of-11 shooting from beyond the arc. Camron Williford orchestrated the offense effectively, tallying four points and dishing out an impressive eight assists in 23 minutes of play. Jaylon Moses added seven points, three rebounds, one assist and a team-high three blocks. Caleb Jones only tallied four points but had a solid six rebounds and four assists. Off the bench, Mikequese Taylor and Pierce Ross provided additional firepower, scoring 15 and 11 points. Taylor also brought down nine rebounds, which ties his career high. O'shawn Jones-Winslow also made his presence felt with nine points and six rebounds. Mason Jones went 2 of 3 from behind the arc and finished with six points.

David Teele led the scoring effort for Allen, contributing 13 points, including an impressive 8-of-8 performance from the free-throw line, in 33 minutes of play. Grayson Ryan added 14 points, while Randy Crosby chipped in 10 points off the bench. Dante Jackson finished with seven points and one rebound in his 18 minutes of play. There were only eight Red Devils who were able to play in the first round of KJCCC conference play.

For the game, the Blue Devils shot 51.3 percent from the field (39-76), 40.6 percent from three-point range (13-32) and 83.3 percent from the free-throw line (15-18). Allen shot 25 percent from the field (16-64), 20 percent from three-point range (5-25) and 81.8 percent from the free-throw line (18-22).
