Shooting Problems Hinder the Red Raven Men's Basketball Team in Loss at Allen 60-74

The Coffeyville Community College men's basketball team lost a tough road game against the Red Devils of Allen 60-74.

The loss drops the Red Ravens overall season record to 12-6 and 8-6 in the KJCCC conference.  Currently, Coffeyville is sitting in sixth place in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference standings.

This loss for the Red Ravens boiled down to shooting.  Coffeyville shot 37% (23-61) overall from the field and 29% (5-17) from the three point line and 56% (9-16) from the free throw line.  Conversely, the Red Devils of Alllen shot 47% (24-51), 44% (8-18) and 64% (18-28) in those three areas for the game.

Coffeyville could just not get any traction going in the game and found themselves playing from behind for most of the contest.

Game leaders for Coffeyville included sophomore forward Jordan Taylor (12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals), freshmen forward Cedric Roland (11 points) and sophomore Tedrick Wolfe (5 points and 11 rebounds).

The Red Ravens will travel to Independence on Saturday, January 21st to take on the Pirates of Independence Community College.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
