Blue Devils Defeat Benedictine JV, 9-5

The Kansas City Kansas Community College baseball team (19-3) took down Benedictine University JV 9-5 Mar. 19 in Atchison, Kan.

Gehrig Goldbeck emerged as a standout performer, wielding a hot bat with a remarkable four hits, including crucial RBIs that propelled the team's scoring efforts. His stellar performance at the plate undoubtedly influenced the outcome of the game. Contributing to the offensive onslaught, Freddie Nolen IV delivered a pivotal grand slam in the seventh inning. Peyton Basler recorded one hit, one run and got walked one time. John Caime had a solid day on the offensive end with his two hits and two runs.

Seven pitchers threw for the Blue Devils Tuesday afternoon. Caleb Deer had the best day out of those pitchers, striking out three and not walking a single batter in his one inning of work. Charlie Mosser recorded the win with his two innings letting up no hits, one walk and two strikeouts. Carson Rosen also pitched two innings and struck out three batters while letting up two hits.

The next series for the Blue Devils is against Allen Community College at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Mar. 21 in Iola, Kan.
