The Highland Men's Basketball team is on one of the best starts in program history through the first 11 games of the season.
Â
The Scotties are sitting at 10-1 after a 110-68 victory over Doane College Junior Varsity on Thursday night in Crete, NE.
Â
It was a team effort on Thursday night offensively as everyone on the roster scored at least five points or more.
Dontre English led the team in scoring with 23 points and five steals, a season high in both categories.
Jaquan Daniels was right behind him scoring 21 points, dishing out 5 assists and grabbing five rebounds.
Stephon Jackson was the other Scottie in double figures with 15 points, shooting 4-7 from behind the arc.
Â
Scoring 110 points, you knew the offense was clicking for Highland but the defense played a big role in the game as well. Highland held Doane to shooting only 40% from the field and 28% from three-point range. Highland out-rebounded Doane 36-25 and forced them into 17 turnovers.Â
Â
The Scotties will be back in action at home on Monday, December 5
th as they play host to Washburn University JV at 7:00pm in Ben Allen Field House.
