Allen Loses Close Game in Playoffs

The Allen Men's Basketball team lost a very close road game in the first round of the Region 6 Tournament to Garden City. The Red Devils lost 91-85 in a back and forth battle all night. Allen hung tough in the first half, and found themselves down 1 point going into the break (38-37). 

The second half would remain close in the early minutes, but Garden went on quick run and grabbed a 9 point lead. After a timeout, the Red Devils responded after back to back 3's from Ahmad Winston. On the next possession Perry Carroll connected on a 3 to quickly tie the game back up. The game would stay close for the remainder of the contest. Garden City made some timely 3's to pull away in the end. 

Allen was led in scoring by Tyler Williams with 25 points on 10-21 shooting (4-10 from 3). Freshman Perry Carroll had a nice game with 21 points. Jacob Patterson scored 12 points. The Red Devils fought through adversity all year and stayed together as a team. Allen finished the season winning 4 out of its last 5.
