Ashlyn Osborne's streak of reaching base ten straight
times came to end in her first at-bat against Neosho
County Community College. The consecutive streak is the
best for a Lady Cougar dating back to at least the 2002
season and has the Cougars off to a six-game win streak
which is the longest in Barton history since the 2008
season. For the week the sophomore from Killeen, Texas,
batted .611 going 11-for-18 including six doubles, ten
runs batted in, five walks, and stole one base. Osborne
also picked up three wins during the week from the
center circle to improve to 3-1 on the season helping
the Cougars on the day with five RBIs. After beginning
the season 0-for-2, Osborne is 15-for-22 for a .682
batting average.

Batting second in the order, Swisher went 11-of-15 with
a double, five RBIs and five runs scored. She stole
seven bases in the Lady Tigers’ four wins and posted a
.750 on base percentage as she set the table for the
middle of the batting order.

Craker was 4-0 for Seward last week, throwing 28 1/3
innings and striking out 33 opposing batters. She
posted a 1.48 ERA and allowed less than a hit per
inning. Tuesday against Pratt she went the distance in
an 11-2 Seward win, striking out 7 in the process.
Wednesday against Frank Phillips she again went all 7
innings for the Lady Saints, allowing just 4 hits and 1
unearned run in a 4-1 Seward win. Friday against Ranger
she tossed a gem, throwing a complete game, 2 hit
shutout while striking out a career high 14. Later in
the day, she came in in relief and picked up the win
against Seminole State.

Benge continued her incredible start to the season. She
relieved in the second inning vs. Northern Oklahoma to
help get her team out of a jam, then ended with 5 1/3
scoreless innings to get the win. She then started vs.
Maple Woods and faced the minimum 12 batters in four
innings with four strikeouts to earn the win. For
the week, she allowed one hit and no runs in 9 1/3
innings. Benge is now 3-0 on the season and has not
allowed a run in 14 1/3 innings.
