In a crucial Jayhawk West Conference matchup, Jayde Hansen shut down arch-rival Seward in the second game of a doubleheader on the road, earning a 2-0 win. It is her first career shutout and improves her record to 3-0 on the season for the No. 6-ranked Grizzlies.  Weekly Stats

Freshman Taylor Eaves put on a power display during the Lady Pirates’ four games played last week as she went 7-of-11 with four home runs, 10 runs batted in, and 11 runs scored. She had a pair of multi-homer games and registered an on base percentage of .692.  Weekly Stats

Offense was tough to come by in a hard-fought doubleheader at Seward on Thursday, but the Sydney Eck powered the Grizzlies with a pair of hits in the doubleheader, including a solo home run in the first half. She also drove in one of Butler’s two runs in the second game. For the season, Eck leads Butler with six home runs and 17 RBI and his hitting .410.  Weekly Stats

Laura Wilson tossed a two-hit shutout in a win over Barton County and went 2-1 on the week. Wilson struck out 10 in the victory over Barton and allowed only one run over five innings in a 24-1 win over Brown Mackie.
