Michael Sinks set another Barton all-time record this past weekend leading the Cougars to their eleventh straight win.  Batting .500 over the course of five games, Sink's .625 on-base percentage from the leadoff position produced eight runs crossing the plate while driving in seven runs.  Already the Barton career doubles leader, it was only fitting that Sinks eclipsed the all-time hits mark on a double as the Lawrence sophomore roped a two-bagger to center leading off the fifth inning to break the 163 total hit mark set back in 2002.  Sinks began the week blasting his team leading tenth home run of the season then added three extra base hits the rest of the week finishing a home run shy of the cycle leading Saturday's game one victory.

Johnson County left-hander Davis Schwab pitches a 3-hit shutout with seven strikeouts against Fort Scott on April 20th. With the victory and seven shutout innings, Schwab improved to 8-0 on the season and lowered his era to 1.72. Both totals rank second in the Kansas Jayhawk Conference.
