KJCCC Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week - Week 6

Javier Pena hit four homers for Butler in five games this week, with three homers in two games on Thursday at Pratt. He was 7-17 at the plate (.412), with eight RBI and scoring eight runs. He also drew four walks and stole three bases. His performances helped Butler go 5-0 on the week and move into first place in the Jayhawk West. 

Johnson County Community College right-handed pitcher Zachary Ebert pitched a complete game 3-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts in the opening game of a four-game conference series against Labette. With the win, Ebert improved to 5-0 on the season. He has three complete games pitched and 44 strikeouts in 27.0 innings of work.
