KJCCC Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, Week 10

Player of the Week:  Alex Rodgers – Barton Community College
Alex Rodgers had an outstanding week for the Cougars hitting .765 over six games helping Barton to a 5-1 week. Over the week, Rodgers finished 13-for-17 from the plate recording a hit in every contest and producing five multi-hit games while never striking out. Six of his 13 hits went for extra bases (four doubles, a triple and homerun). The Omaha, Nebraska product drove in 12, including multiple RBIs in four of the six games. Holding an .808 on-base percentage, Rodgers was a major threat on the base paths scoring 14 times and recording 12 steals in his 13 attempts including a 4-for-4 day in Thursday's split at Seward becoming the Cougars single season record holder at 41. 

Pitcher of the Week: Jayden Quarles – Coffeyville Community College
Jayden Quarles was a huge part of 3 victories for the Ravens this week. He got a win and 2 saves on the mound. He threw the last 3 innings vs Butler to earn the win for the Ravens in there mid-week game. Then came on in relief for the starter in the final inning to get out of jams for the save for the Ravens in both conference wins for the week vs Allen County.
