KJCCC West Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, Week 10

KJCCC West Player of the Week: Cole Murrell – Butler Community College
Butler outfielder Cole Murrell registered a big week at the plate, helping the Grizzlies to a 3-1 record in games he appeared in. Murrell hit .625, slugged 1.188 and had an on-base percentage of .684 in 15 at bats and four games played. The Springfield native tallied 10 hits, eight RBI and walked three times compared to just two strikeouts. In a midweek win over Rose State, Murrell was 3-5 with three runs driven in including a two-run home run. He was 3-3 with two RBI in a loss at Colby on Saturday and later that afternoon turned in a 4-5 performance, driving in three runs and homering twice. 

KJCCC West Pitcher of the Week: Bryce Chambers – Dodge City Community College 
Dodge City baseball earned a series win over Barton for the first time since 2016 and helping lead the way was the performance of Bryce Chambers on the road in game two of the series as he tossed a complete game nine inning shutout for the Conquistadors to earn a 3-0 win. Chambers went the distance without giving up a run surrendering only six hits and one walk, while striking out seven. He improved to 6-3 on the season for the Conqs in 10 appearances with nine starts as he's tossed 49 innings on the season with a 4.41 ERA and 46 strikeouts.
