KJCCC Kansas MTXE Football Athletes of the Week, Week 2, 2017
Caden Walters helped lead the Dodge City Conquistadors to a 28-20 win over the weekend against Iowa Central. With his two passing touchdowns this week and three in week one, Walters now leads the KJCCC with five. Walters also leads all players in KJCCC play with 205 yards per game.
Sophomore linebacker Quen Head had a huge game for the Hutchinson Blue Dragons in a 27-21 loss at No. 12 Iowa Western on Saturday. Head made 10 total tackles, including eight solo stops. His biggest play, however, came late in the game with Iowa Western up 27-21 and ready to put the Dragons away. He intercepted a pass in the end zone which gave the Dragons an opportunity for a last minute drive that ended at the IWCC 2.
