(KJCCC) WICHITA, Kan, -- It was Football Friday at Newman University in Wichita, as the conference coaches and the media met for the 2018 KJCCC Media Day.
Local TV stations filmed the reveal of the Predicted Order of Finish, with Independence edging out Garden City as the favorite for the coming season. Indy is the defending conference champion.
Commissioner Carl Heinrich delivered a 'State of Football' address, as well as informing the packed crowd about the newest developments in the KJCCC, as well as at the NJCAA national level.
The production crew filming the Netflix series 'Last Chance U' was on hand, and interviewed each of the conference coaches. Independence was featured on Season 3 of 'Last Chance U.'
Each of the KJCCC coaches predicted a close race for the conference title, with each weekend bringing a fresh game challenge.
The new football season kicks off on August 23.
