Garden City quarterback Nate Cox threw for better than 300 yards last week and was named the KJCCC's Offensive Player of the Week. Independence's Deandre Butler and kicker/punter Brian Pennell are league's Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week
OFFENSE - Nate Cox, Garden City
Nate Cox became the first Broncbuster quarterback since Terry Wilson in the 2017 Heart of Texas Bowl to throw for more than 300 yards in a game. Cox completed 11 of 18 passes for 302 with two touchdowns in a 58-14 victory over Coffeyville. Cox also ran for 48 yards on two carries with a long of 39 yards.

DEFENSE - Deandre Butler, Independence
Defensive end Deandre Butler led the Pirates to a 31-20 victory over Iowa Central with 12 total tackles, including five quarterback sacks and eight total tackles for loss.

SPECIAL TEAMS - Brian Pennell, Independence
Freshman Brian Pennell hit a clutch field goal with 35 seconds left to solidify the victory for the Pirates' 31-20 victory over Iowa Central. He was also perfect on PATs and averaged more than 44 yards per punt, including one downed inside the 20.
