KJCCC FOOTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK - WEEK 6

Players from Hutchinson, Dodge City and Highland were named Jayhawk Conference Football Players of the Week for Week 6 on Tuesday.

Hutchinson running back Tyrell Reed Jr. was named the Offensive Player of the Week. Dodge City defensive back Bobby Arnold III was the Defensive Player of the Week. Highland kicker Adonis Coyle was the league's Special Teams Player of the Week.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Tyrell Reed Jr., Hutchinson
Reed had his second 100-yard game of the season and helped the No. 1 Blue Dragons rush for a season-high 354 yards in a 43-16 victory at No. 10 Butler. Reed ran 23 times for 117 yards and three touchdowns of 5, 14 and 25 yards. His is the first Blue Dragon back with three rushing touchdowns in one game since Dylan Kedzior last season against Butler.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Bobby Arnold III, Dodge City
Dodge City football beat rival Garden City for the first time since 2015 claiming a 33-10 win at home. The Conqs defense held Garden City to just 204 total yards, marking the fourth time this season holding an opponent to 260 total yards or less. They also forced three turnovers. A key piece to the defense was Bobby Arnold III who had the second most tackles with nine and had a Pick-Six with an interception returned 33 yards for a touchdown. He added a 72-yard kickoff return also which led to a Conq field goal in the win. Arnold has 31 tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and two interceptions this season.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Adonis Coyle, Highland
Coyle booted the second most extra points in Highland single-game history. Coyle went 7 of 7 on extra-point placements as the Scotties rolled to a 49-0 victory over Gordons Fine Arts & Sports Academy.
