KJCCC FOOTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK - WEEK 8

Players from Butler and Highland Community Colleges were named Jayhawk Conference Football Players of the week for Week No. 8

With a blowout road win over No. 3 Iowa Central, Butler quarterback Tanner Murray was named the Offensive Player of the Week. Highland cornerback/punter Eddie Whipple was named both the KJCCC's Defensive and Special Teams Player of the Week.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Tanner Murray, Butler
Murray led No. 12 Butler to a dominating 45-10 win over No. 3 Iowa Central on the road this past Saturday. Murray passed for a career-high 251 yards to go with two touchdowns while rushing six times for 41 yards. He commanded the Grizzly offense to a season-high 45 points in chilly road conditions.

DEFENSIVE AND SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Eddie Whipple, Highland
Eddie Whipple had a tremendously productive game against Independence at more than one position. He had one interception and six huge tackles on defense. Throughout the game he came in as a running back and scored a touchdown for the Scotties on offense. Whipple also punted and proceeded to punt the ball a total of nine times, dropping four punts inside the 20-yard line.
