KJCCC FOOTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK - WEEK 10

Players from Garden City, Hutchinson and Butler earned Jayhawk Conference Players of the Week honors for Week 10 of the 2023 season.

Garden City running back Fred Davis was Offensive Player of the Week after a big game against Ellsworth. Hutchinson safety Ryan Nolan had his second multi-interception game of the season and was named Defensive Player of the Week. Butler punter Chevy Edwards captured Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Fred Davis, Garden City
Fred Davis rushed for three touchdowns in Garden City's 25-0 road victory at Ellsworth on Saturday. Davis averaged 4.6 yards per carry and totalled 146 total yards on the ground. He scored on runs of 24, 1 and 6 yards.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Ryan Nolan, Hutchinson
Blue Dragon freshman safety Ryan Nolan intercepted two passes to help a dominating defensive performance in No. 1 Hutchinson's 13-0 victory at Highland. This was Nolan's second multi-interception game of the season. He had three picks against Iowa Central in September. Nolan is now the nation's leader in interceptions with seven.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Chevy Edwards, Butler
Edwards punted a career-high nine times in the loss to Coffeyville, with six of them landing inside the 20-yard line and four of them landing inside the 10 with one being downed on the one-yard line. Edwards played a big part in the field position battle, setting the Grizzly defense up in advantageous situations throughout the game in wet, chilly conditions. Edwards' long punt was 50 yards.
