The #7 ranked Highland Men's Basketball team improved to 7-0 on the season after a 3-0 week last week with three home wins over DMACC, Quakerdale Prep and Graceland JV. Scotties picked up a tough 76-72 win over DMACC who is receiving votes on Monday to open the week's action and Jaquan Daniels had a strong game scoring 14 points all in the second half, including a monster dunk. Daniels then helped lead the Scotties to a pair of wins over Quakerdale Prep and Graceland JV at the annual Scottie Classic in Highland. Against Quakerdale in the 124-70 win Daniels posted a season best 20 points on 8-11 shooting and added six rebounds and three assists. On Saturday Highland won 90-39 over Graceland JV and on his birthday Daniels scored 13 points on 6-10 shooting adding six rebounds and four assists. On the season in seven games Daniels is averaging 12.4 points per game on 50% shooting from the floor, while adding 5.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and one steal per game.
