ALVIN THOMPSON, Cloud County

Cloud County redshirt sophomore Alvin Thompson had a monster week in a pair of wins for the T-Birds, posting 24 points and shooting over 50 percent in wins over Colby and Dodge City in the span of 72 hours. Thompson has now scored 24 or more points in three straight games, upping his average to 19.3 per game on the season; the second highest in the KJCCC. One of the keys behind Thompson's latest surge is his effectiveness behind the 3-point line as he shot 5-of-8 (63%) in the two victories. After only attempting 17 3-pointers a year ago, Thompson is currently 11-of-22 beyond the arc this season.
