Johnson County Community College sophomore forward David Turner averaged 15.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and shot an impressive 72 percent from the field while leading the No. 10-ranked Cavaliers to three blowout victories last week. Turner opened the week with 20 points, seven rebounds and three blocks in a 120-71 win over Graceland JV. He was a 9-of-9 shooting and 2-of-2 at the free throw line. He followed with eight points, 12 boards and three blocks in a 92-75 win over North Central Missouri College, and closed out the week with 18 points and six rebounds in a 110-63 win over Ottawa JV. He was 9-of-11 from the field against the Braves. For the season, Turner is shooting 68 percent from the field with ranks seventh in the NJCAA, and his 45 blocked shots are fifth-most. He now has 106 career blocks with ties for second on JCCC's career chart.
