D.J. MITCHELL, Hutchinson Community College

After a somewhat off-shooting night in a 20-point effort vs. Dodge City, freshman guard D.J. Mitchell was nearly perfect in a Hutchinson Community College victory over Colby on Saturday. Mitchell averaged 18.5 points, hitting 7 of 12 3-pointers last week. He scored 17 points, going 6 of 6 from the field and 4 of 4 from 3-point range in the victory over the Trojans. Mitchell is Hutch's second-leading scorer at 16.0 points per game and he ranks fifth in the Jayhawk Conference in free-throw percentage at 81.8 percent.
