Sophomore guard Jay Lewis led Cloud County in scoring in a pair of games at the Iowa Western Reiver Classic, including a career-best 41 points in an 84-70 win over NJCAA Division II Des Moines Area CC on Saturday afternoon.
On Tuesday, Lewis was named the KJCCC Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
After scoring only eight points in the first half, Lewis went off in the second-half with 33 points to help the T-Birds overcome an eight-point deficit to win by 14.
The sophomore shot 55 percent from the field in the game and was 15 of 16 from the free-throw line to score his 41 points in just 23 minutes played.
