Johnson County sophomore guard JaQuaylon Mays averaged 18.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.7 steals in the Cavaliers three games last week. He opened the week with 15 points and eight rebounds in a loss at No. 1 North Central Missouri. He followed with 13 points and four rebonds in a win at Highland and capped the week with 28 points and seven boards in a double overtime setback to Fort Scott. He shot 46 percent from the field and 82 percent at the free throw line for the week.
