BARTON'S BOWLES TAPPED AS D-I MEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Barton freshman guard Keandre Bowles carried his recent torrid stretch into this past week leading the Cougars to a pair of road conference victories.

Averaging 29 points on nearly 70-percent shooting from the field, Bowles began the week with a career-high 31 points, including converting an And-1 midway through overtime putting Barton out in front for good, in its win over fellow nationally receiving votes Hutchinson.

This past Saturday provided a "trap game" for the Bowles and the Cougars but both responded on the road in Garden City with the freshman putting on a 27-point, 11-of-14 shooting performance leading Barton to a school record 76.9 percent from the field and third most points in team history.
