Garden City sophomore forward Mohamed Diarra was named the KJCCC Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Diarra posted his 16th double-double of the season in Garden City's 82-74 win over Cowley on Saturday, going for 22 points and 13 rebounds. Diarra also added two assists, two steals and two blocked shots.

Three days earlier, Diarra went for 28 points and 17 rebounds in a tight 100-98 win over Northwest Tech. Diarra also chipped in five blocked shots and two steals against the Mavericks.

For the week, Diarra avearged 25.0 points and 15.0 rebounds wtih seven blocked shots.
