KJCCC DIV. I MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - WEEK 9
Dodge City men's basketball went 1-1 last week and Jason Edwards continued to light up the scoring column for the Conquistadors and was named the KJCCC Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Edwards dropped 30 points going 9 of 10 from the free-throw line and added three rebounds, three assists, two steals and only two turnovers in a win over Pratt. He followed that up with a 26-point and five-rebound performance in a tough road loss at Barton.
Edwards on the season averages 22.3 points per game on 49.3 percent shooting adding 3.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He ranks second in the KJCCC and 14th in the nation in scoring (22.3 ppg), while ranking third in the nation in total points with 401, fifth in made free throws (90), and eighth in made field goals (136).
