Player of the Week: Tymer Jackson – Johnson County Community College
Johnson County sophomore guard Tymer Jackson averaged 28.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks while leading the Cavaliers to a pair of conference home victories last week. He shot a blistering 55 percent from the field, an even better 79 percent from 3-point range and hit 16-or-18 free throws for 89 percent. Jackson scored a season high 30 points in a win over Fort Scott on Wednesday night. He followed in 27 to power the Cavaliers to a 29-point win over Labette. Jackson currently is the KJCCC D-II leading scorer averaging 22.0 points per game.
