Johnson County freshman Axxel Chazaro scored a goal in each of the Cavaliers first three games of the 2018 season. He scored a goal and provided the game-winning assist in an overtime win against Crowder, Aug. 22. He netted JCCC's lone goal in an overtime loss at Jefferson, Aug. 25, and had JCCC's second goal in a 3-0 win at Southwestern Illinois, Aug. 26. He fired 12 shots, six goal and finished with seven points on the week. 

Johnson County freshman goalkeeper Pedro Henrique Ivaskoski went 2-1-0 with a shutout last week. He also stopped 22 of 25 shots on goal for a save percentage of .880. He had 11 saves in an impressive collegiate debut, a 2-1 overtime win against Crowder. He earned his first shutout saving all three shots he faced in 3-0 win at Southwestern Illinois.
