Mario Magana tallied five points this past week helping the Cougars to a 1-1 road stretch over the weekend.  The Emporia freshman put the Cougars up two goals early in the second half distributing his fourth assist of the year before a late collapse resulted in the 3-2 loss at Iowa Western.  One day later Magana struck for consecutive goals after halftime to expand Barton's lead at Northeast Community College in the eventual 7-0 victory.

 Cloud County sophomore goalkeeper Charles Albuquerque played a big role in the T-Birds getting off to a 2-0 start inside the KJCCC West as he stopped 10 of the 11 shots he saw last week in victories over Hesston College and Dodge City. Albuquerque collected his first shutout of 2018 in the 5-0 win over Hesston, then polished off the week with a seven-save performance against the Conquistadors.
