Freshman Tevin Rochester had his first multi-goal game this week, in addition to, distributing the game winning assist to help keep Barton atop the Jayhawk West standings.  In Wednesday's victory against Northwest Kansas Technical College, Rochester provided the first half daggers in the eventual 5-0 win.  The Kingston, Jamaica, native concluded the week setting up KJCCC leading attacker Gabriel Arraes for the double overtime game winner helping the 17th ranked Cougars to a 6-0-1 conference mark and 10-1-1 overall record.

Felipe Baeza turned back eight shots improving to 7-0 in goal on the season helping keep 17th ranked Barton on top of the Jayhawk standings.  Behind a strong defensive line Baeza and the Cougars allowed just one shot on goal Wednesday but against a dangerous attack from Garden City on Saturday, Baeza was sent post to post in making seven saves on the night.  Rejecting six in the first half alone on acrobatic efforts, Garden City broke through with a lone goal at the 58th minute on a redirected header past the diving Baeza to the far post.  The Cougars tied it up and with Baeza making another save, Barton prevailed in double overtime with a 2-1 victory.
