KJCCC Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week, Wk. 5

Johnson County freshman forward Ramon Bravo led the Cavaliers to three victories last week. He scored four goals in three games, and netted the game winning goal in all three victories. Bravo scored both goals in a 2-1 win over Kansas City Kansas. He tallied the first score in a 3-0 win over Coffeyville and fired a game winner late in double overtime to pull out a 2-1 win over Southwestern Illinois. Bravo leads the team with eight goals and 18 points this season. His eight goals scored rank fifth in the conference. 

Johnson County goalkeeper Pedro Ivaskoski allowed just one goal in 244 minutes in net and picked up three victories last week. He saved 9-of-10 shots faced in a 2-1 win over Kansas City Kanas to open the week. He followed with six saves and a shutout over Coffeyville, and capped the week with three saves and no goals allowed in a double overtime win over Southwestern. In the win over SWIC, Ivaskoski played the first half, then returned to the nets for the two overtime periods. For the week he saved 18-of-19 shots and posted a save percentage of .947.
