KJCCC men’s soccer awards and all-conference East Division I teams announced

The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference unveiled the 2021 KJCCC soccer awards, including the Players of the Year, Defensive Players of the Year, Coaches of the Year and members of the all-conference teams.

In the Division I East Division, midfielder Aleksandar Mihaylov of Coffeyville was selected the Player of the Year.  Defender Tahj Hilton of Coffeyville was selected the Defensive Player of the Year, and Jerrid Schicke of Coffeyville was named the Coach of the Year for the second straight season.  Coffeyville won the East Division title with a conference record of 8-1-1 and finished 18-3-0 overall. The Ravens also set team records for wins, fewest losses and winning percentage (.841), but Schicke also orchestrated the greatest turnaround in conference history, taking an 0-16-1 team in 2019 to a top-10 nationally ranked team in 2021.
