Week 5 - Division I KJCCC Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week

Player: Maxence Voinier (Barton)
Freshman forward Maxence Voinier posted a career high week helping the 11th ranked Cougars to a 3-1 upset victory over 3rd ranked Cowley. Finishing with a four-point performance, Voinier supplied Barton's offense fast and early sending home the first of his two markers just 1:20 into the contest. Pressing the Tigers all first half, a forced created turnover by the freshman just 17:11 later fashioned his second net rattler and eventual game winning goal giving Barton an early 2-0 lead.

Dennis Bottcher held a solid week between the pips helping the 11th ranked Cougars to a 3-1 victory over 3rd ranked Cowley. The sophomore was near perfect in the victory denying four of five shots faced including three key denials over the final 45-minutes. The lone goal surrendered came off an unlucky break as Bottcher laid a glove on a penalty shot faced that changed the directory trickling the deflection across the goal line.
