Johnson County's Moser Named ITA Coach of the Year

Johnson County Community College tennis coach Glen Moser has been named the Wilson/ITA Men's Junior College Coach of the Year by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). He received the award at the NJCAA Men's Tennis Championships banquet Sunday evening, May 11, in Plano, Texas. This is the first time in his 36-year career he as earned the men's coach of the year honor. In 2005, he was selected the ITA Women's Coach of the Year. 

Moser was one of four regional finalists up for the award. The other region winners were Bo Jabery-Madison of American River College, Dick King of Temple College and George Budelis of Harford Community College.

"It is an honor to be selected as the ITA Coach of the Year," Moser said.

Moser has led 31 of his men's teams to nationals in his career, including this year's team. Tournament play begins Monday, May 12 on the campus of Collin County Community College.  Moser has guided 22 teams to a top 10 finish. His women's program has qualified for nationals 24 times, with 13 top 10 finishes. Both programs will come to an end following this week's tournament play.
