Indoor track and field season is underway and our week five of KJCCC Athletes of the Week honors have been awarded. 

MEN'S TRACK Athlete of the Week
Kamogelo Thipe (Cloud County) – He set a meet record at the Washburn Ichabod Invitational in the 600-yard with a time of 1:10.92. His time also converts to a 1:19.43 in the 600-meters which ranks eighth in the NJCAA. 

MEN'S FIELD Athlete of the Week
Trevor Gunzell (Coffeyville) – He posted a throw of 18.51 meters in the shot put to win the event at the Pittsburg State Gorilla Invite and break the school record. His throw ranks sixth all-time in NJCAA.
