KJCCC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week - Outdoor Week 2

Outdoor track and field season is underway and our week two of KJCCC Athletes of the Week honors have been awarded. 

MEN'S TRACK Athlete of the Week
Jonathan Farinha (Butler) – He won the 200-meter dash at the Mark Phillips Invitational with a time of 20.95 which ranks fifth in the NJCAA. While he also helped Butler's 4x100 meter relay team post a time of 40.00 to win the event and rank second in the NJCAA. He also took second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.40 (sixth in the NCJAA).

MEN'S FIELD Athlete of the Week
Brenden Carter (Dodge City) – He won the high jump at the Mark Phillips Invitational behind a leap of 2.12 meters (6'11.5") which also qualifies him for nationals. The mark is a personal best and is the #1 mark in the NJCAA.
